Pears! Pears! Pears!

Pears are available for order again this year for $24 per 40 lb box.  They will arrive in mid September.  There will be a drop location in the area and you need to pay at the time of pick up.  TO PLACE ORDERS:  LINDA HAYES  #435-878-2468  or pearslindahayes@scinternet.net

PEAR ORDERS HAVE TO BE IN BY AUGUST 1ST!!!


Also, a reminder that the canners are available to be used by families or wards for dry pack canning.  Contact a member of the RS Presidency to pick them up from the Stake Center or there are 4 available for check out through the Home Storage Center at the cannery.

Playgroup for July

Playgroup is Wednesday, July 18th.  We will be at the Hidden Valley Park Splash Pad in Bloomington.  The address is 3505 S. Barcelona Dr.  Bring a lunch!  See you there!  Everyone is welcome, you don't have to have kids :)

More Recipes To Share!!

For those of you that were wanting the recipes for our delicious appetizers from our May activity...Here they are!!

• • Chili Queso
    1 can chili
    1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese
    1/2 to 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese
    Mix altogether in microwave, stove top, or crockpot until heated through and cheese is melted.
    
    Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts
    1 pkg bacon
    1 can WHOLE water chestnuts
    1 c.ketchup
    1 c. sugar
    toothpicks
    Preheat oven at 375 degrees. Cut each strip of bacon into 3 pieces. Cut each whole water chestnut into 4 pieces. Wrap a small piece of bacon around the water chestnut and hold together with a toothpick. Mix sugar and ketchup together. Dip each bacon wrapped water chestnut into the ketchup mixture and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 45 minutes. Enjoy!!!

This month for May's msg. to share with your sisters is a conference talk from April General Conference. Take a moment to pray for your sisters by name and think about what talk would be best for them individually to hear.

Changes to Playgroup

Playgroup will now be on Thursdays!!  For the month of May we will be having playgroup at 10:00 AM at Unity Park.  We always have a fun time visiting while the kids play.  Come and have a fun time with the other moms & get a break while your kids play.
