DINNER ROLLS Debbie Pendleton
3 c. bread flour 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 3 Tblsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. powdered milk 1 Tblsp. yeast 1 1/4 c. warm water 1/4 c. margarine, melted 1 egg
Combine dry ingredients. Add beaten egg to melted margarine. Add to flour mixture along with the water and mix well. Knead until smooth and elastic, adding a little flour if necessary. Cover and let rise until double. Shape into rolls and let rise again. Bake for 15 min. @ 350 degrees. or until browned. Makes 16 rolls.
I make this with my Kitchenaide mixer and the dough is just slightly sticky when completely mixed. Can also be made in a bread maker if it has a dough cycle.
